MENOPAUSE CLASS™ • LESSON 02

Why Is My Body Acting Brand New?

“Wait…THAT can be part of this too?”

Perimenopause and menopause can show up in ways that go far beyond hot flashes and changing periods.

From sleep and mood changes to brain fog, headaches, joint aches, heart palpitations, skin changes—and symptoms that may seem completely unrelated—midlife can sometimes leave you wondering what in the world is happening to your body.

In this lesson, we’re going beyond the symptoms everyone talks about and exploring some of the changes women may experience during the menopause transition—including a few that might surprise you.

By the end of this lesson, you'll understand:

• The common symptoms associated with the menopause transition
• Some of the less-talked-about changes women may experience
• Why symptoms can look very different from one woman to another
• How changing hormones may influence multiple systems throughout the body
• Why a new symptom shouldn’t automatically be blamed on menopause
• When symptoms deserve further evaluation by your healthcare professional

🎓 Class Recap

Before you leave Lesson 2, remember:

1. Menopause symptoms can extend far beyond hot flashes and changing periods.

2. The menopause transition can look very different from one woman to another.

3. A symptom happening during midlife doesn’t automatically mean menopause caused it.

Your symptoms deserve context—not dismissal.

📓 Before You Leave Class…

Open your Menopause Class™ Notes to the page titled “Things I Thought Were Random…”

Think back over the last several months—or even the last couple of years. What changes have you noticed that seemed completely unrelated?

Write them down. You’re not diagnosing them as menopause. You’re looking for patterns and identifying questions you may want to discuss with your healthcare professional.
